Jelly & Garlic

Garlic

Garlic is an ingredient in the game. To complete Garlic levels the garlic must be dropped from the bottom of the board.

In Garlic levels garlic may be present on the board at the start of the level and/or more garlic may enter the board via dispensers at certain intervals.

Garlic takes up one hexagon and is collected immediately upon reaching a drop zone indicated by a pulsating green down-arrow.

Garlic is moveable like candy. It can be switched like regular candies, the switch is a success when the candy makes a match. Garlic cannot be matched, or eliminated by any way other than landing on a drop zone. Reshuffles do not move garlic.

Jelly

Jelly appears in Jelly levels in Match 4 Crush.

Jelly appears on hexagons behind candies and blockers and is removed by clearing candies on the same hex. The candies can be cleared by match or by special effect. Every time a candy is cleared from a hex with jelly, a layer of jelly on that hex is removed. Jelly has four (4) layers, from bright blue to almost transparent. At the start of a level, a hex can have one (1), two (2), three (3), four (4) or no layers of jelly. Typically, more jelly layers means a longer level, but not necessarily a more difficult level.

Jelly can be spawned onto the board by jelly spawners. It flies off of the board when removed and lands on the scoreboard as collected.

When 12 or fewer layers of jelly remain on the entire board, the hexagons covered in jelly are highlighted by an encircling light animation.
